Room 4

Room 4 have been learning Nursery Rhymes throughout the year.  We love looking on Youtube for renditions of our favourites and making up our own rhymes.  We have been trying to learn at least 5 Nursery Rhymes.   How many do you know?

Singing Nursery rhymes helps children develop their:

• memory with the predictive rhythms
• will help them with their listening skills, hearing rhyming words
• co ordination skills when using gestures and actions

There are so many benefits for children learning their Nursery Rhymes.  But I think these are the MOST important…  Children enjoy having time spent with them and Nursery Rhymes also foster that love of reading and books.
